my latest painting, now named "crimson entanglement"

this was a project at my art session at art society, we had to stick tissue paper random all over a canvas then paint using your imagination whilst doing this.
i could see roses within the bumps of tissue so i worked with that ending up with this textured modern painting, i enjoy doing it but i cant think what to call it, im hopeless at naming my paintings so any suggestion Guys :o))now named hope you like the name:o)

21 Mar, 2012

Love it!!
I see poppies in the wind as well. More bc of the 'texture' of the leaves.

21 Mar, 2012

I love it Sandra and it IS poppies isn't it? I haven't thought of a name yet though. Another great painting and all so different, we never know what you'll come up with next! :o))

21 Mar, 2012

Lovely and flowing, "field of dreams"

21 Mar, 2012

thanx Lil, Lily and Linda, all the L`s haha
yes i can see it could be poppies with the foilage Lil, so its about what you see, with this textured painting and using tissue you never really know how it will turn out, great fun.
so more good names thankyou :o))

Wow, I love this one San, looks quite art nouveau style to me, lots of flora and natural sinewy shapes, could be
Snakes and Roses...????

22 Mar, 2012

I absolutely LOVE this San! I would buy it if I saw it in a gallery...it's wonderful...'writhing roses' ? lol :)) Do it again, with the tissues again...I love it.. you could do a series. Agree with Janey, it has an art nouveau feel to the shapes. :)))))) Its fab!! Definitely my favourite of all your paintings so far. I also thought it was poppies (just saw your comment above).

Sorry, had to say more....it's the colours and texture, but mostly the 'movement' in the painting I love I think....it looks like they are doing a sort of sensual dance! :)

23 Mar, 2012

thankyou so much janey, so glad you like this one, good name to :o)))
cheers karen how kind of you to say so, hope someone thinks the same when i display it, i will be doing this texture with tissue again as i enjoyed it so much, a series sounds good ,i can see what you mean in your second comment to about the movement :o)))

23 Mar, 2012

My OH likes it too, and he's very choosy about his 'art' ;)

23 Mar, 2012

really karen tell scott thankyou and i take cheques haha ;o))

23 Mar, 2012

I have been thinking about where I could hang it San! I am seriously tempted, but the colours might not be too good for here. I might have to wait for another one in the 'series'! :))

23 Mar, 2012

i have a good feeling about this year karen, hope im right, i feel i might sell something in an exhibition this year, so fingers crossed hey, thankyou karen :o))) x

Great name San! While I was away, I had some inspiration for a painting for my bedroom using this tissue paper idea. I lay in the sun 'visualising' it and now I need to get on with decorating the bedroom and get started on the painting! You've inspired me again! :))
