Such beautiful water and mountains! How high are those mountains? Do the mountains have snow all winter?

I have no idea how high they are. Snow comes and goes....the beginning of the month the snow had reached almost the bottom of the mountains. That was beautiful!

Nope. I don't know that much about Albania.

That's strange you don't know about your neighboring countries.

I know a lot about Mexico, which is only a 20 min drive to the south. I don't go into Tijuana, MX., though. There's a lot of problems lately with the drug cartel.

It's not that strange. One of our neighbors is also not our friend.

Albania is a trip into town (45minutes) then a boat trip about an hour and a half.

People around here don't know much about Albania then the children are not tough in school....kind of hard to know unless you are interested and look up information for yourself.

No, I've never been to Albania. I would like to go one day but it's not my number one destination.

It's safe but very very poor. We have a lot of Albanian immigrants.

The San Diego-Tijuana border is the busiest border in the world (I just found out). Tijuana is pretty poor, also. However, there's been a lot of problems with the drug cartel, there...and many other parts of Mexico. I don't go to Tijuana very often...it's been 6 or 7 years, even though it's only a 20 minute drive south.

I don't know anyone going to Albania to shop. People who live near the border usually go to Bulgaria and Turkey for bargain shopping. There was a special on the news last year of a lot of people going to Bulgaria to visit dentists as they charged half price (now, how good were they???)

I went on vacation to Acapulco years ago. Very beautiful but poor as well if you cared to look. (at least then it was)

They have a show on Discovery I think about the CA, Mexico border. I can't remember the name now.

I've heard Turkey is a very interesting country. A good friend went a few years back and had a great time!

The San Ysidro border crossing (San Diego-Tijuana boarder) is very interesting. I'm sure there's been a lot documentaries make about it.

I would like to visit Turkey one day.
