Great colour, my bought ones went pale but that might have been the shock of planting in clay. Seem to be improving now, your's is perfect :)

I will look for that one too!! I love evergreen ferns, they're so perfect in the winter time when everything else is dull. I plan this year to get massive numbers of Autumn ferns and plant them out several feet from the front of the house. That way I'll have lots of green throughout the winter.

Agree Laura - this one has remained the same since last Autumn when bought - a real corker :))))))))))))))) Thanks for comment too :)))))))

:))))))))))))))

the Autumn fern is also Dryopteris something or other and even though it's Asian it actually does better over the winter time than our native evergreen ferns, even the leather wood fern!

Sounds great Laura - I want to put all the ferns I have on at some point - :)))))))))))))

I want to get some hayscented ferns. They're groundcover ferns that grow quickly and supposedly they'll do well in very varied conditions - wet, dry, shade, sun, good or poor soil. I want them to spread so much that they'll choke out everything else in front which means I'll never have to take out the lawnmower again. And masses of them are beautiful. It might irritate the lawn-loving neighbors but who cares. They don't pay my property taxes.

Sound great Laura - I will have a look out for these too :))))))))))) get some pics if you get any :)))))))))))))
