My favourite tree again. I really must resist the temptation to keep taking it's pic.

It will be Ok Lilly. Our climate in Hungary is much harsher in winter than UK.

It must be nice in Hungary though, harsh winters, do you get hot summers though?

Yes Lilly, normally we do. Last year was very long hot and dry. Quite a bit of 40 C. The garden nearly turned into a desert and many plants were badly scorched. This year is very different so far. Mostly 25-30 C for past 2 months, but bouts of wet weather regularly with some cooler temps, like England really. So we are revelling in a green garden this year. Our grass has never looked so green before.

notice you have what looks like a clump of festuca glauca... I put some in for punctuation (?) in my front garden...I love the stuff...and it contrasts so well with the lovely red of the maple...nice tree..it deserves to be photographed!

Yes it is Lori. I like blue fescu too and have it all round a section og my front garden.
What else?
See who else is growing Acer palmatum (Japanese maple).
See who else has plants in genus Acer.

Yes it's gorgeous, obviously they do well outside in winter, because I was told to protect them and was going to buy a cover for mine. Probably one of those plastic greenhouses or something that I could just put over the top. But I have seen a few that are in the ground like mine and outside. So I think I will chance it.
