Thank you both. Its 13C here today, so we may have a few more roses yet...and no doubt the grass will be growing too!

Those are gorgeous! Up in the hills here it is 6C and WILD. Nothing but sticks left of my poor garden now, but the birds are busy so there's always something to enjoy.

Thanks Obiwan....;) sorry, couldn't resist! Goodness, you're only about an hour or so away from me as the crow flies! Isn't it amazing the difference. Thanks Julia...they are lovely aren't they. I decided to bring them indoors so I could enjoy their perfume, but there are still a few buds left on the shrub.

Thanks Sheila! Glad you like....whenever I get a bunch of late roses, it always gets lots of comment. I couldn't be without my rose bushes now. There would be very little colour out there without them.

Beautiful roses Karen. I wish now that I hadn't pruned mine down so early, but we get alot of strong winds here and didn't want their roots to be disturbed.

That's my job for tomorrow Rose. The thing with these new English Shrub Roses though, is they don't take an awful lot of pruning. You just need to give them a trim. I shall have to put food around mine too as I am about to mulch them with bark. So Friday will see me trimming, scattering and mulching! I shan't dig the food in though, just scatter it on the top under the mulch and let nature take it down in time for spring.
