There's still lots of colour in this narrow bed.

Still looks busy!

Yes. The Antirrhinums have almost finished now, but I planted some Tulipa turkestanica and some Iris reticulata in there yesterday.

Wow - that looks amazing for October - and what a great flower Godetia is! Lovely misty effect too (from the grasses?).

14 Oct, 2011

Yes - I added Stipa tenuissima at intervals...

Thanks, Sheila - I so clearly remember walking across there with you in June! :-)) The pink Hebe has flowered twice - what a little star.

Oh yes, Barbara . . . that was a day to remember. :))

:-)))

It seems, that strong freeze, which has been forecasted in the British isles for October, is just a nonsense in your garden, lol.

I'm afraid it's on its way, Katarina. The weather has been lovely here all week, but it's going to get cold very soon. :-((

Still looking lovely!

5 Dec, 2011

There are STILL flowers in there today! It seems unbelievable in December, doesn't it. :-O

5 Dec, 2011

It's remarkable, Spritz, although we have had snow, but hopefully it won't be like last year. :0)

5 Dec, 2011

Oh, I do hope not, but it has been forecast, hasn't it. Mind you, I've stopped believing the forecasts! lol.

6 Dec, 2011

The good news is that Harlequin ladybirds have been seen, by Amy, on tree trunks, and that is supposed to herald a mild winter. If it's going to be very cold, they hibernate in the leaf litter. Let's hope they know something we don't!

7 Dec, 2011

Wouldn't that be lovely! :-))

7 Dec, 2011

Hello Sheilabub, your Harlequin ladybirds know as much as Polish meteorologists who have been righ for last several years in their long term forecasts. This winter, they say, will be mild. Although early and unpleasant start of autumn did not look like that.

Fingers tightly crossed Katarina! Thanks. :))

(We've just had a lovely double rainbow, followed by a hailstorm - no knowing what will happen next!)

9 Dec, 2011

It's blustery with rain and hail here. Not a nice day at all! Definitely fingers crossed.

9 Dec, 2011

Hailstorm is for sure harmless now then it is in May or July. Right? We had the total Moon eclipse today at three o clock. Nice weather, 5 degrees of Celsius, almost spring breeze, now in the evening a pleasant rain started.

10 Dec, 2011

Yes, you're right. Lucky you to see the eclipse! It wasn't visible from here.
