Cimicifuga 2

Behind the shed in deep shade was it's original spot, the blooms don't mind some sun, but the foliage dries off, and also crisps...in the sun...a real shade lover...

I do love a plant that will thrive in shade Crissue....very very useful indeed! Actually, I may have to move mine again as it will get some sun in the summer where it is...just in the morning time though...what do you think...shall I move it in to even deeper shade?

Morning everyone....Been up since 5-30 am...Too Hot to sleep any longer...so was here early...

I would go for shade for this plant everytime...as you can see by the pics it was thriving, and the morning sun it did get behind the shed was broken done by the Large Rhus Tree...

A delightful plant......

Morning everyone...

J...As long as you keep the foliage in deep shade, the spikes can get over 3ft tall, as in last years pic, so you will see the most elegant part of the plant and September is it's flowering time, so a good show for the time of year...

Yes DD it really is, one for your garden if you haven't got it already...perhaps...

I don't think so J...here it's in Gritty well draining soil, I do give it a mulch like most of the others...but no special attention...I just think it's main requirement is the shade...hope this helps...

:)))) I had a whiff of mine when I went out earlier, and there is a soft scent coming from one bloom...so I think it's safe to say, with several spikes blooming it should be quite fragrant....
