Juvenile Blackbird

Juvenile Blackbird

Felt so sorry for this bird as there was barely enough water in the bath for it to have a splash!

Ah...It has a little sad face....I found a dead one in the flower border yesterday...It was probably the cat Nali....I've noticed him creeping up on the butterflies too and catching them...dont know what to do about that...:<(

I know what you mean, San, evaporates really quickly in the heat ... not that I'm complaining! :o))) . . . . .

Nothing you can do, Motty, Nature's way I guess ... I have just topped up the birdseed and noticed lots of white feathers in the corner by the log pile ... looks like Pigeon feathers ... :o(((

Good photo. It's natural for the cats to try to catch the birds but we find that a glass of cold water does the trick of detering the cats. Our own cat Dusty gets told off when we see her and she walks away as if to say WHO ME?
