My sisters sunroom

My sisters sunroom

She designed it herself and had it built. I think it's gorgeous and suits the cottage well.

Love it....

I love it too I thought it was the front of the house HB. But it would look good on either. Its nice to see someone design it and have it built for themselves - makes it so individual.

It's a listed building so they arn't allowed to alter the front of it but they are allowed to do what they like here at the back. I saw the completed room for the first time last Saturday and I was amazed at the solid oak beams. She is going to let it weather and fade naturally. I was so glad she hadn't decided to paint or stain it.

Thanks Sixpence and Sl. She loves church porches and I think the design has come from this interest.

Lovely sunroom and the design goes well with the design in the old windows.

She designed the windows too several years ago Linda. I think it all looks well together. Thankyou.

our last home was a grade two star listed building and the coucil were very strict on what you could and couldn't do to it. We had the dining room windows replaced back to the old original ones, and it did look great to restore them but the cost.......

I can immagine Lindak, but they must have looked really nice. I hate to see modern style windows in old houses it really spoils them. My daughter paid a bit more to have casement style windows put in her old cottage and they looked so nice, and were what it would have had in originally.
