Lovely red plant. Cruise holiday 2010, excursion around Madeira. Can just see the cruise ship in the distance.

They look a bit like our 'red hot pokers' don't they? but the leaves look like that of the aloe. Whatever they are, they're really striking.

Our coach guide did tell us the name of the plant but alas I have forgotton, I blame my age u know!! :-))
