I don't either Carole , Gee's very good at it isn't she !

I still think Gee has a 'hide' with camoflage netting!. As soon as I touch the door handle the birds all fly off! At the moment they are having a conservatory and patio built next door and it has been very noisy since Monday. One of the GCs we visit has a tame Robin flitting about the counter area and twittering to himself as he flitters. When I went near the fat balls he appeared at my elbow as if to say ' let me have some'. He has a feed dish on the check out counter! He scolds people who stay there too long.

That sounds lovely Dorjac I would go there just to see the Robin , I expect thats what the owners want so that we spend more money .. :o))

I don't have a hide,Dorjac, but my daughters still have a laugh over the fact that I tried to build one several years ago to try and photograph a green woodpecker. I never did manage it :)

Didn't manage to make the hide or didn't manage the photo ?

...or both ? lol.

17 Mar, 2011

Both, TT! I did end up with lots of photos (in the days of film) of a bare expanse of lawn :)

Lol. That is an advantage of modern-day cameras...
delete all the unwanted pics... :o)

You obviously have the knack, as the GC does with the very handsome resident Robin, of getting birds not to be too afraid of human presence. The birds in our garden will feed nearbye when we are seated, even three or four people, but not when we walk about. The Mistle thrushes are still around but are bullied by the Starlings. The new bird table is a great success, it always gets cleared and is cleaner too.

I have just scrubbed and cleaned all my bird feeders today. Some are very difficult to clean so I plan to investigate the new 'easy clean' feeders I have seen advertised. I wonder if anyone on GoY knows anything about them?
