Clerodendron capense - Cape Chestnut Flowers

This tree is so large I could fit into the camera lens. It's at the Coronado Main Library. Cape Chestnut is a spectacular flowering tree which blooms from spring - fall. Photo taken Oct. 8, 2010.

It's native to southeast tropical Africa. It think large, mature trees will tolerate 25F/ -3.9C briefly with minimal damage.

Ive come to the conclusion its a good job I dont live in your neck of the woods Delonix, I would either have permanently sore eyes from all the colour, or skinned knees because I wouldnt be watching where I walked!
