Autumn Fungi Amanita muscaria var. formosa (Amanita muscaria var. formosa)

Will update with particulars when I have a chance to research these interesting toad stools. They are dangerous...certainly NOT FOR EATING!!!.... they are terrestrial forest fungi.

Hello Lori. I have exactly the same looking mushrooms in my garden but their colour is white. I saw something very similar on the internet called Agaricus Augustus which is edible. Of course, I am not going to touch them in case of wrong identification.

What a lovely mushroom and a lovely photo.
I don't eat any mushrooms that don't come from the grocery store. I'm not taking ANY chances.

Did you have any success ? Sounds like a wonderful adventure. Can't wait to see before and after pics of your new place, once you find it, that is...:-)

We think we have found the place we want...just have to wait for the wheels to grind, they sell..we sell, they buy, we buy, they move, we move...it is so frustratingly slow...like a waltz in half time or a game of musical chairs! ARGH!!!
