Hi Flcrazy, no I did not stake it, and even in some strong winds we had recently it was fine. no special care, somewhere sunny, free draining, and it should be fine. Flower spike grew to about 9 feet in the end.

They have the most colorful blooms, don't they ! The bloom looks enormous, do you have to stake it ? I've been tempted to buy one of these, but I don't know enough about them to take that step yet.
