Polygala myrtifolia 'Grandiflora' - Sweet Pea Bush

Polygala myrtifolia 'Grandiflora' - Sweet Pea Bush (Polygala myrtifolia 'Grandiflora' - Sweet Pea Bush)

This very commonly grown bush blooms all year and is very drought tolerant...which is why it's so common. It will grow to almost 8 feet/ 2.5 meter tall with equal spread. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on August 31, 2010.

Doesn't look like much until you look close up at the flowers. Here in Greece I've seen it mostly in large pots. Adding this to my back garden.

I'd like to add it too, but ho hum. The conservatory is full already!

Alexandramou:

There's several varieties and species of this plant which grow here. Some have pink flowers and are very floriferous.

It's hardy...however, will not tolerate cold wet soil too well.
