It is a beautiful plant but I've heard it can be quite invasive? Is this true?

It can be ,but very easy to control, and after all , it is better like that than having wimps that struggle. There are lots of new varieties of Crocosmia some take time to establish and none are as invasive as the common small orange one.

Try other varieties other than Lucifer if you have a small garden but do avoid the common dull orange one it DOES become invasive. There are lovely yellow ones also.

I'd like to grow this, but isn't it rather a big plant? Not sure I've got room...:-(
