In the winter we put dustbin lids on top of the tree ferns. We wrap the bananas in fleece but because it's white, for cosmetic purposes, we put an outer wrap of brown fabric usually used to suppress weeds. The jungle is three and a half years old. One bamboo stem grew 19 feet in one season!!! We use chicken manure pellets!
