I buried a heavy duty extension cord under the ground for the pond. I wrapped the part where the blug to the pump plugs into the extension cord with plastic. I have an outdoor covered plug on the back of the house.

I have no outdoor outlets at all - the wiring here is pretty ancient, and I just rent, so...
Someday I'll run across an affordable solar fountain !

I have a friend who got a solar fountain about a month ago and it's great.

I just posted a comment in another photo of the pond that it seems to be disappearing as the plants in the area get bigger. I kind of like that as someone visiting the garden wouldn't see it until they got close.

Pond looks good - nice heron too. Wish I had outside hydro, I would love a water feature in the yard.
