ive planted, ferns, hostas,acer, fatsia, and a red cordyline, I have red lillies to go in and plants i haven,t found yet,:)

The area looks great.A Banana will be fabulous but will need winter cover or keep it indoors over winter.A tree fern (Dicksonia antartica) would also look superb, but cover the crown with fleece during winter.You could add some Cannas but they need frost protection as well.Phormiums are great for height and structure and are quite tough.A good book is 'Exotic gardening for adventurous gardeners' by Christopher Lloyd. It is full of lovely ideas and superb photos.Hope this info helps.Best wishes and happy gardening.

Thanks Grenville, Since posting This pic, Ive planted, (wait for it) A canna, Phormium, Windmill palm, (near to this bed) and the Banana, you see ive been soaking up all the amazing pics on this great site, Thankyou peeps, Also ive bought a Hot looking Daliah tonight, Just the one, at £4.95, A little bit expensive, I think I stole this idea from you Grenville :) if my memory is right..;)) ..Dee..
