Was the flower broken off your Amaryllis? I grow lots of Amaryllis. Last year I successfully managed to get about 50 plants from my own seed to flower after 4 years!

Is that the picture on the box that you cut out & left behind the plant? It looks like a flower that has broken off & you have put in the pot!

I only had that picture to remind me of what it should have looked like had it managed to flower .I have still kept the bulb ,would it be worth me having another go with it ?

Yes, definitely! Is it still in its original pot & compost? If it is just give it a little water & put it in a warm, light place. In a few weeks it should "wake up". You will probably get a flower spike without any leaves. Even if the leaves start to grow before the flower bud starts to emerge from the bulb don't give up on it as it may flower at any time. You don't need to change the compost or feed it until the flower fades. Then feed it with a rose/tomato fertilizer, one with plenty of potash to encourage it to flower next year.

Have a look at my blog on Amaryllis here:

Perhaps you will find something there to help you.
