Golden Lotus Banana is blooming in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. Not sure how tall they grow...these were only 3 feet/1 meter tall. Photo taken May 27, 2010.

Thanks! I thought this flowering banana was gorgeous also Palmate. Mostly, what's seen here is the edible varieties of bananas.
