This Bonsai has lived outdoors in our garden for the last 30 years. It is extremely hardy, and it is regularly pruned to keep it in shape.

It's a larch, right? I have a Japanese Larch in my back garden that is at least 40 feet tall!! it was 6 feet tall when I bought it nine years ago....they grow very quickly...never thought of it as a specimen for bonsai..It looks smashing in it's nice fresh new green.
