I was quite surprised to see this specimen out of doors as I had only come across it in the Temperate House at Kew. It is a rather fine specimen standing 12ft high against a south facing wall and protected on its east side by a conservatory. It has been flowering since mid March and is about to finish now in early May.
What else?

I love the ones with the yellow blooms. They are so much prettier than my white blooming sophora, but mine is the only one I know of that is hardy to my zone 7 garden.
