Took our rump out in late autumn Sandra.Yes...by heck does it freeze ! This year had to put on boiling water just so the birds could continue to drink. Froze solid for at least 2 months this year but still the plants are coming back now !

i will im sure, got 10 little pond snails today lol, do you have your pump on all the time ray or just in the daytime

11 Apr, 2010

Just when we are in Sandra...evenings for a while and at weekends usually. They are pretty versatile........

11 Apr, 2010

thanx ray, wasnt sure, baz said "hope its not going to be burning electric all day and night" lol

11 Apr, 2010

For safety reasons electric is reduced to 12 volts in pumps - so only costs few pence per hour to run. Oh Sandra you ll probably have your pond full by now lol but if you happen to find a water hawthorn its worth considering as not a large plant but sends up small white flower spikes that fill the garden with a scent like vanilla essence on summer evenings its lovely.

11 Apr, 2010

sounds lovely ray will jot that name down ;o)) lol

11 Apr, 2010

did you spot the pale lemon ones at Reighton? I was tempted but I dont have margins as it is straight down to a shelf 10" down. Have you put your 'rump' back in yet? :o)
