Thanx, Littledove. And Patrick, yes, it is new. Said to be more resistant to problems and requiring less deadheading because it is "cutting raised". I got 10 plug plants in a garden centre (where I was able to choose the red shade), but have just ordered far more in Thompson & Morgan's sale. Have also sown more Mimulus seed, as I didn't ever think this lot would flower so early. Part of the trouble of having to keep annuals indoors from frost whist trying to bring on tender plants, I suppose.

Thanx Fl and Eggbox! This planter is even better now. I keep deadheading the mimulus and the plants have swelled to great proportions, with even bigger flowers. The"Spellbound" impatiens is also now in full scarlet bloom. I'm just sorry that I can't post pics at the mo (problems connecting to the 'Net at home).
