Thank you for the comments. This is the end of the Bryce Canyon Rim road. There was a posted map of the view and I don't remember Mesa Verde being on it. We just toured the canyon, goin ghome at dark.

Mageth, this was my summer holiday, I saved it to warm up in winter. :-)

Clarice, many of the western films were filmed in this area due to all the classical and memorable formations here. Lawrence of Arabia was filmed in Pink Coral Sands park just 40 miles west.

Glad to bring back those memories Cat. What a feeling this place leaves with you.

GT:

Such an incredible shot! Did you go to the Grand Canyon also?

Thanks Lori and Delonix. This was all just a day trip from the west corner of Utah along the border and up around through Bryce. Arizona is a great destination in winter, this northern mesa if filled with this stuff, though still a bit on the cool in winter, from Moab in eastern Utah, across petrified forests in Arizona, the Grand Canyon and the Bryce, Zion's, and Kodachrome basins like this.
