well not quite what i had expected big heavy lumps of concrete under the grass! no wonder the grass does'nt grow to well here - oh well a girl has to do what she has to do - and i will not be defeated.

Seems to be one of the laws of gardening...where ever you want to dig a bed is just always full of large stones,bed rock.rubble...you name it.I've built stone walls with the stuff I've hauled out of my plot.

lol - oh Lori you have tickled me with that comment! lol - and its funny you should say that coz i think we had the remaines of a bomb shelter in this garden, aparently this area got heavly bombed during WW2 and when digging i find all sorts, glass broken plates metal - you name it i have it bured somewhere in my plot.
