They are special BB ... I hadn't seen Fudge for two days after the snow started and was getting very worried , I came home the evening before last to see him sitting in his usual place on the summer house .. I dashed in to get his food and would you believe he was so excited at seeing me that he came rushing over flapping his wings in my face and almost sat on my head ....I wonder if he had gone in an outbuilding somewhere and been shut in because he was starving and so thirsty he drank lots of water ......

I don't know BB , there are some old Maltings buildings up the lane , they closed down about 5 years ago ,a lot of birds had been in the habit of hanging about there because of the grain that was brought in and spilt .. it has a lot of boarding up at the windows but some they could get in and I have noticed a lot of pigeons roosting on the window ledges , also there is a huge old builders barn on the piece of ground next door to us ..
Kids break into the Maltings , the owners are always putting fresh boards up at the windows .. It's quite likely that they go into one of these .........
