Allium "Beau Regard", with all juice extracted!!

Following on from my "Bubble Gum" pelargonium pic, here are my former violet Allium "Beau Regard" flowerheads, now dried out!

With all juice extracted, they look really good as they are, but will give them a fine spraypaint for use as Christmas decor. Am thinking that gold might just be "the ticket" here?

lovely idea, they're gorgeous, are we allowed to mention the C word now? :-)

They look great David :) I've kept some of my allium seed heads as well, and will be spraying them for C******** :)

NO NO NO!!!!! (Although, I hope you'll forgive me for having done so).

Di, yes, I saw your pics of yours with those micro lights in the vase - fab idea, btw! :-))) It was my Mum who used to do this with her Globemasters and Christophiis, and she gave me this idea!!!

These flowers heads are very attractive, David...

They look good just as they are but will make terrific decorations for 25 December (see, I didn't mention that word!).

Well done Gee.........Got Halloween first.............

Oh, Milky! You are "WICKED" - LOL!!!!! Takes me back to the "Wiz ofOz" garden. :-))))

Many Thanks, Gee, for being more tongue-tied than I was earlier! :-)))

....and then November 5th, Milky (which I hate!)

19 Sep, 2009

I do too Gee, my neighbour has an all-night bonfire party :((((((((((((((
He has big bomb-like fireworks which terrify my cats (and me!).

Nov. 5th "celebrations" are a nightmare for most of us with pets. There was, for a while, some relief when local authorities began to stage communal bonfires and firework displays. Unfortunately, however, fireworks are available at other times of the year, and we see them being staged almost all year-round now, for birthdays, Christmas and New Year, etc. So much for age legislation on purchasing them! We do like a firework display a lot, but wish that folks would give us advance warning, though!

"Golden Brown! Tt? Takes me back to my younger days, haha!!!

They look as wonderful dried as they did when full of juice.

Sometimes, I think even more amazing, Gg, looking at them without the colour distraction. Spray-painted them to preserve better, and still in my lounge! Great value/all-year round interest. Wonder how many blooms will get from the 3 bulbs this year?

Definitely something to look forward to!!
