I have Schlumbergia that bloom at Easter...I think it is a diurnal thing...needs so many hours of light and so many of darkness...coupled with watering...that will produce a flush of bloom. They are such carefree plants.
What else?

My Christmas Cactus blooms several times during the year. It is blooming again right now, but since we have a couple of feet of snow on the ground, it must think that it is Christmas again.
