You can make Rose Hip syrup. Very high in vit c. We used to give it to babies 30 odd years ago.

Yea, I have read somewhere where one can also make jelly with it. I shall google the recipe.

Yes it is high in Vit C, but a b..... to crush. Love this rose makes a good hedge.

I love these rosehips. Such a grand shape. I always have grand ideas to make them into something, but removing all the hairy innerds always is a hefty task. It does make a nice jam, and syrup. We pack them in sugar in jars as well, to take a spoonful like tonic in winter, for the vit c. :-)
