This Common Gray Treefrog was on my front window one night. They live in trees and shrubs near permanent water, coming down to water to mate. I'm fortunate to have several different kinds of treefrog here. Since the weather has warmed up a bit, the Spring Peepers have started singing ! The other night I was out with my dog and the night was chilly, but 2 Peepers were trying to converse, but stopped. I mimicked them with a whistle and both of them answered me back every time I whistled.

Spring peepers are scarce here. I must live in a dead zone. but because of the tall trees in the bush lot nearby I hear woodpeckers and tree frogs very often... even a great horned owl...whhoooo whhooo.

Isn't that yellow on his back legs strange ! It's the common markings on a Common Gray.
