Brilliant pic, Spritz, of my personal favourite flower. I really like to visit large gardens with meadow areas, growing these in their best setting.

Pity you live so far away, or you could visit Holbrook Garden yourself. You will have to have a holiday in Devon one Easter. :-)

Hi Spritz! I remembered last year visiting a large estate open as part of the Open Gardens Scheme. They had my favourite flower mass-planted at the edge of deciduous woodland, and it was very effective. Am thinking that I could plant up a small-scale version in our garden in Autumn. Would be nice to see Devon again, though........

Great shot! These remind me of the little batik coloured shells ( naturally ) I saw in Bali. It is so interesting you see the same patterns in nature in different things. Wonder what these flowers look like inside.
