Lastest project finished

I couldn't get the lawn mower between the flowerbeds any longer so I put in pavers with dwarf mondo in between the stones, problem solved.

Well Janey, Sanbaz and Pansypotter, the path only leads to a birdbath under the trellis, a very short destination I'm afraid, but we can all pretend it leads you into something more magical, can't we ?....:-) I'm game if you guys are...lol

Thanks Lori, I've been meaning to do this project for two years now. I finally ran out of excuses and got it done....lol

DottyDaisy, this is a shade loving grass called Ophiopogon japonicus, that I bet you've heard of. The dwarf variety I have only gets about two to three inches tall. Some varieties of this usually get about six inches tall, there might be one that gets to eighteen inches tall, I'd have to check on that to be sure.

That area is incredible! Nice!

Lol..., can't have any sulking on GOY N2....lol. Just think of this as a place where your imagination can go wild. Can't wait to see how your garden evolves in the next few years. I've have several years of practice in my garden and you've just begun.

FL yes have got the Ophiopogon which is about 8 ins tall, but not heard of a dwarf one sounds ideal for what you want, thanks for the info.......

I can't believe this is a new garden. Looks like it has been there for a long long time it's so grown up, Love your garden and am wondering where you live? I'm in N. Carolina and have almost all shade garden. We live in the blue ridge mountains about 20 miles south of Boone. Are you anywhere near me?

Thanks Valerie, glad you like it. I also do alot of shade gardening, and would be glad to share the names of plants that have done well for me in the shade. I live in a small community called Grace Chapel. I'm a few minutes from both Granite Falls and Hickory. My husband says we live about an hour and fifteen minutes apart.

Thanks Heartnsol, this flower bed is where my love of gardening began. My one and only blog shows it from it's very meager beginnings to what it is now....lol
