A nice morning in the sunny garden

I thought as this is the first weekend that the sun has shined for weeks in this area, I would take some photos of both my front and rear garden. I hope it`s as nice tomorrow!

Your garden is lovely and well taken care of. We've been lucky here in Hampshire and have had sun for most of the week. Sending you some sun for tomorrow :D

My garden is thirsty! We had a small amount of rain today, in 5 minute bursts. The water butts are not even half full...Yes, it's been dry here. Rain is forecast for next week and although I'd like to work in the garden, it needs watering!

Is that Erysimum 'Hector's Gatepost'? Funny name for a beautiful plant!

Very nice garden you have there, Phil! :)

We have hardly seen any of that wet stuff called .. em .. yes, that's it ... rain, for several weeks. We have had a couple of glorious weeks of warm sunshine that made everything burst into flower in just a few days. Unfortunately it's also making their flowering season shorter. Must be the excess warmth - for them, though lovely for us!

There are a few shops next door with a fairly big carpark with some wonderful flower beds that are crammed pack full of Polyanthus. The central display - a semicircle - is planted up with just two plain colours - white & yellow. They looked really stunning a week ago but in the last week they have begun to die back & now look a shame. I could have cried at seeing the display come to such an undignified end.

I'll upload a few pictures of the carpark & the wonderful flower beds.

Wow, Phil. Your gardens look fabulous. I love your deck. What a cozy place to sit out. You even have a patio heater....I would love to have one of those. Lovely pond too.
