Spring Garden Pictures with my new camera!

Have been so busy with work commitments these last few months, I haven’t had time to show you pictures that I’ve taken in the garden with the new camera that OH bought me for Christmas!

Took these pictures as long ago as early March… It’s really amazing how many plants were in full flower out of their usual flowering period…

A pretty dark purple crocus amongst Heuchera Leaves that didn’t die back at all in the snow!!

A wild Primrose! Many were in flower during March this year!!

Pulmoneria… I originally bought these from my Mother-In-Law’s house in Wales :o) They’ve spread everywhere!

Daphne – She’s just so sweet… :o)

Helleborous – Not many flowers on this plant this year :o(

Snowdrops still in flower in March… I just don’t believe it!

Narcissus – The variety Ice Follies springs to mind… But I could be wrong?

Viburnham tinus in bud – I’m sure it was early compared to normal.

Camelia in bud

Clematis planted last year to climb up an arch that OH made for me. This is work still in progress I hasten to add, but three of the four planted have already started to shoot…

That’s about all for now… I’m pleased with the quality of the pictures with the new camera – just need to get out more and do more snapping… Thanks for taking the time to look :o)

Some lovely plants there, Tracey. My hellebores barely flowered this year either nor did my snowdrops. I love pulmonarias and isn't the viburnum lovely in bud?

Lovely pics with the new camera Tracy! It's strange about Hellebores: friends plants seem to have many more blooms than mine, so I asked for advice, and was told they love a good mulch - so that's what I'll do :)

Your camera takes good photos :o)

Thanks everyone! :o)

I wondered if the wet cold weather was the reason why I hadn't many Hellebore flowers, I'll try a good mulch along with the usual TLC, Sheila!

Sorry that you haven't seen so much as a flower yet Neena! Maybe a good mulch would help yours out too!

I love the dark pink pips of the Viburnam too Tuesdaybear, of course they are now all in flower!:D

Thanks Hywel I can see an improvement in the quality of my pictures, especially the ones I've taken of my floristry work. :o)))

I see I have very good competition in the photograph taking stakes. You seem to have really got the hang of the new camera Petal. I would like to see a picci of the new viburnum (was it judii) that you bought last year when we visited Stone Green. I can only remember how lovely the scent was. Is it out yet?

Thanks Poppy, Dottydaisy and Paul - the new camera has been in great use this past week... Firstly went to a Wedding in Somerset and then we drove over to Germany to the Eder and Moehne Dams - A pilgrimage for the Dambuster Raids... OH used the camera for some very spectacular views - thought he bought it for me...!

Poppy - I didn't buy that viburnham... I thought you did!:D

I thought your photos were crisp and very good colors. Mine is getting old, and the reds are not accurate. Lucky you to have a new one, but also you seem to know how to work it! I also was glad to see your clematis, as mine are usually in this state!
