I just thought those of you with little ones or grand little ones may be interested in this report I saw today from the big man himself!
Yes, Father Christmas/Santa says things are getting very busy in the North Pole as preparations start to reach their peak! But, everything is on schedule…..phew, thank goodness for that!
The sleigh is set at the bottom of the present/gift conveyor belt…….

The teddy bear factory is reaching full speed!

Many gifts are already packaged up;

The Elves have been sorting through all the letters but, Santa says there’s still time t send one in , but hurry!!

And the grottos are all set for Santa’s visits!!

Santa is so excited….only 6 weeks to go!!!

I hope you are excited and looking forward to Christmas……Santa will be very busy for the next few weeks
Happ Christmas shopping !
Santa Paul

I can see he's been working really hard...he's lost quite a lot of his extra pounds and looks as fit as a fiddle! ;)

For now at least but, he'll be eating lots of mince pies soon!

13 Nov, 2015

He looks much too young to have managed to grow all that gorgeous beard!

Hope you've got over your health problems and are feeling fit enough for the task ahead!

In Holland, (where I come from) the children have a visit from their Father Christmas called 'Sinterklaas' or St Nicholas on the 5th Of December! He arrives in Holland from Spain on a big boat full of gifts and little helpers and rides his white horse over the roof tops and with the help of his little helpers called 'Zwarte Pieten' (black Petes) who effortlessly slide the presents down the chimney. If you have been a naughty child then your parents will tell you that 'Sinterklaas' will scoop you out of your bed and take you back to Spain for a whole year without seeing your parents! It used to scare us to death, so a few weeks before the 5th December we'd miraculously tidy up our room, lay the table, wash the car etc.. My parents took full advantage of it! It is remarkable that most countries across the channel have their own version of Christmas for adults and children alike. Thought you might like to know....

Fascinating Amsterdam!......

lovely where you live Santa .....🎅👼

14 Nov, 2015

I agree with Pam's comments and can see why Amsterdam was so scared!

Ha ha Amsterdam..........one way for the parents to get the children to do some jobs around the house!
Thanks, Stera, 3d,Pam and Shirley.
Health a bit better thanks Stera.......
Yes, the bookings are coming in Dawn(3d)
The winter wonderland is at Marsh Farm(where I was the wizard the other week) I don't work in the grotto at the farm as I tend to do the outside bookings such as weddings, corporate parties, shopping centre light switch ons, promotional activities, home visits etc etc.(I was working for this company as santa for 3 Xmas seasons before they owned the farm) although, I went to the farm yesterday to train their Santas for the grotto this year.

looks amazing.....would love to go there...bet you have fun..

Well, I don't work there most of the time Sandra.i go out and about as Santa but , although, it's a great place to visit, the poor Santas(8 of them at any one time) are stuck inside the grotto building (old barn) and don't see daylight for hours on end.

15 Nov, 2015

Wow, who would have imagined there are Santa trainers?
How long does the training take?

Paulspatch- you must be so busy at this time of year. I miss taking my boys to see Santa... I used to get so excited!! They are one syllable teenagers now, be lucky to get a grunt or any facial expression out of them. Have figured out a way to crack their moody exterior, I just embarrass them or make them laugh!! Ha, Ha ! :)

15 Nov, 2015

Ha ha......yes, this is why teenagers have parents......to embarrass them!
Enjoy the time though, because my boys are now 31 and 26 and , whatever I do, I don't seem to be able to embarrass them anymore.
They just smile, shrug their shoulders and carry on!!

15 Nov, 2015

I was there for approx two hours Stera....
I find it a bit embarrassing really.I say, you've either got the personality or you haven't but the owner of the farm insists I go and chat to them. I try to get them to talk mostly but I do make 3 or 4 important points and give tips on how I deal with certain situations, eg ; when a child is worried/frightened of Father Christmas. And, I give them ideas of what I do/say and get others who've done it before, to share what they do /say and then the new Santas can get some ideas of what they may want to include.
The idea is to give an experience....not just rush the families in and out as quick as possible.

I am glad you have bookings Paul its great your out and about and not stuck in a barn all day at least you have a variety of places . Its lovely the farm puts these events on for the kids I suppose it makes money to get by on for the farm with some farms struggling against what supermarkets pay them.
By the way Paul I always embarras my kids I feel I am the kid at 61 and they are the parents they being 43 41 27 when they tell me off for what I come out with or do occationally they laugh but not often I think boring get a life.😜

Sounds like all good advice Paul - and you'll be around to make sure they follow it...

When I was little we were told we each had two fairies. The good fairy sat on our right shoulder and whispered in our ear telling us what was the right thing to do, but the bad fairy sat on our left shoulder whispering to us to try and get us to do naughty things. On Christmas Eve, Father Christmas would send one of his fairies down from Lapland to find out which fairy had been most successful throughout the year, the good fairy or the bad fairy. Of course every child wanted the good fairy to be successful so Father Christmas would leave them lots of presents.
Enjoy you time as Father Christmas, Paul. I'm sure you're going to have a fun time.

Santa looks a very kind man. I think I'll send him my list tonight, before it's too late ! ;o))

16 Nov, 2015

Yes.....hurry Hywel.but , don't forget, also to leave him a mince pie out on Christmas Eve.
I've not heard that one before Julia.its surprising the stories u hear as Santa of different traditions etc , different families have!
The farm is no longer a working farm , Dawn.it is purely a visitor attraction now.still with lots of animals though.Farm animals and others not so associated with farms like Reindeer, Alpaccas, birds, birds of prey, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits,
I'm sure the Santas wil do fine Stera!
