once they start chasing bunnies they soon warm up, but in canterbury there are some homeless people with dogs particulary bedlingtons, and they cannot get hostel cover because of the dogs. I feel so sorry for them, so I have been charging round canterbury like a demon with dog food blankets, and hot soup. we can all fall on hard times, but the doggies look sooooo depressed and cold. one particular lad is only 23, alcohol dependent, what has he got to look foward to. so I am off again this morning, with me flask and dog food. lol thanks you for your comments, I will try and post a piccie of larry he looks even more like a lamb. x ITS SNOWING,

It makes you realise just how lucky we are,Patricia..and what a kind thing you are doing...I am all for helping the homeless, and we have a good response here too. although I don't do what you are doing,a lot try to do their bit in other ways..donating things to a centre,at a town Mission,in way of food and clothing etc..they often have an appeal in the local paper to ask for things they need the most, when stocks are running low..so the power of the press works well for them..:o)....but sadly it is never enough,is it ?

You are right there Bloomer I dont profess to be an angel, but try to do something, I also try and help with animal charities, but dont have an excessive amount of money I'm afraid, but Many Tears is an animal charity, that is absolutely wonderful, they are trying to get everyone to donate 1.50 because they do alot for the rescued breeding dogs, which have known no life except a cage, and they get to 4 and 5 their eyesight has gone, they have no teeth due to nutrition, but an operation would help their sight but its 1500, so.... need I say more. needless to say I havnt forgotten the children, Oh dear where does it all end. x

Oh that is just awful,Patricia..I didn't know that..!I always thought they got the best care...don't they get visits from RSPCA or vets inspections ? Surely someone checks on their welfare.? appalling, and I am so sorry to hear this...a lottery win would be nice, wouln't it ? so many animals and people we could help...

I think we tend to be ostriches Bloomer, me included, cos I cannot stand I cant do anything about, so pretend it doesnt happen, but sometimes it is thrust in your face, and you have to do something eh!! I could go on. and I am not an extremist by any means, but I could get on a soapbox lol
