I am really frustrated that I havn’t been able to get into my garden alot recently as we have the builders in, creating an extension at the back and sides, thus blocking my access. Every one says it will be great when it’s done but I am fed up with it now. I really can’t wait for them to finish so I can get to my neglected plants!!!
I am posting a pic of the inside as I can’t get to the garden today. Hope to contribute again very soon. Going to buy some tulip bulbs and plant them in the front garden , to cheer myself up.

Hi Pam !

Good luck with completion of the project and having access to your garden again !

Try logging on to one of the Alpine Garden Plant websites and plan a trough. It will cheer you up.
Something for next year. You can keep it in the house until allowed outside again.
The compost should be J.I.No.1 with very small grit mixed in.
Deciding on which plants you want, finding the trough, (which can be a plastic one) will be something positive to do.
There is also Sweet Pea seed to plant in toilet roll holders. The experts say autumn planted seed is best.

And it hasn't been fit to be outside much anyway...

Better to have it done this year as the weather has been rotten!!
Been there and done that but luckily I hadn't a nice garden to worry about back then. Think how pleased you will be when its finished!

Thanks for your encouragement and ideas! I was actually thinking of trying an alpiney bed for next year so maybe I could make a small start on that. :))

The weather has been rotten, but of course that held up the building for a while too, at least they can work indoors now!

I hope it won't be too long before you can get to your garden. It was a good idea to cheer yourself up with those bulbs :o)
