Today in the Garden after all the rain had gone!

The sun came out around 4.30pm and I took my phone camera for a walk around the borders.

Sorry if the photographs appear on their side I still cannot sort them out to show them the right way round. It only happens when I use my phone camera.
Hope you guys are still managing to get outside at some point to play and work in your gardens. The borders are hanging in there but not for much longer. The nights are drawing in fast and we are seriously thinking of lighting the fire. lol.

thanks Paul, sorry about the rain, it has been quite a deluge here for most of the day, turning cooler now because the cloud has cleared. Just looking at weather chart it should clear from your area soon. :O)

Your garden looks lovely Rose - but it always does! We had a little rain this morning but wonderful sunshine this afternoon

Beautiful as ever Barbara. Lots of rain here. I have been taking advantage of the soft soil, been moving a lot of plants about. Bliss :))

I think your borders are looking super still, and giving lots of late colour. We seem to get wet mornings and dry, sunny afternoons at the moment which isn't too bad! We had a bonfire at the weekend so autumn really must be here!

The rain has made your garden sparkle.

We had similar..rain all day until about 5pm and then it cleared up and was beautiful evening. Your red rose looks great! Much smaller than mine, which is unusual, as your plants usually grow so tall! My tomatoes are almost over now, and I've taken a lot of plants indoors for the winter. There's still loads of colour though, and i do enjoy this time of year. Its all lovely until November....then the muck and mud takes over! Still...theres no spring without winter is there? You don't get snowdrops, daffodils and hellebores in the tropics!

Yes it has done good all the rain and as Michaella says it is so much easier to work the land when we have had some rain.

I always look back at the summer pictures I have taken and marvel at how it all disappears and then shoots up again in the spring. Nature is wonderful.

I hate it when the flowers are dying back but as Karen says no spring without the winter and I do so love spring whatever it throws at us in between now and then.

Sunny today and Lottie is just having a nap before we go to see all the goodies in the supermarket. lol. she loves to sit in the trolly and hold tight 'cos Granny is driving.

Oh heck that is the signal Lottie is awake off I go!!! thanks everyone for looking in. :O)

Lovely garden if you put your pictures on your computer and double left click on them they will probably appear on their side if you click on the arrow left or right it will turn the picture upright when you close the box it will save it upright.
When you put the picture on grows on you they should then appear upright.
Or turn your phone 45 degrees when you take the photo.

have done all of that Peter thanks for the tip but nothing I do changes them, they appear on the computer the right way up but when I transfer the picture to GoY they appear on their side. In my folders they are the correct way up.

your garden is so full of colour...it looks amazing..;-)

Lovely to see some late September colour in your garden ... rained much of the day down here and am about to put the gas fire on in the lounge :o(

It seems your pictures are long way on upright wonder if Grows On You only excepts them horizontally that is why I wondered if you turned your phone 45 degrees when taking the pictures may solve the problem?
Sorry if this doesn't help

It all looks lovely Olive. My garden is just hanging on here as we have had lovely weather for a change. I gave up with the tomatoes and made Jamie Oliver's green tomato chutney. I have put the odd plant in the greenhouse but I am waiting for the last of the courgettes before I do the winter change over. Your seeds are still a bit green Olive but I collected some at Pollok Estate as a back up. :0)

thank you everyone :O) yes everything is hanging on in there we have had some lovely bright days after rain all day on Monday. So think that is all helping the garden to stay so colourful. The trees are just starting to turn into spectacular autumnal colours and its is truly amazing the display around and about. Reds and Oranges and Yellows where the sun has caught the sides of the trees and green on the shady sides. I do so love Autumn hope it keeps on like this for a few more weeks. It all helps the dark dreary days pass on that bit quicker if we get a good Autumn.

On their side, upside down, it really doesn't matter your garden is still looking great, judging by the rose buds lots more still to come too ☺

24 Sep, 2015

thanks Waddy yes lots of rose buds the only problem is that the rain we got on Monday mushed the buds and they have gone brown on some of the bushes. Shame but I did see another Hot chocolate bud had opened up today in the sunshine. We have had some lovely days since Monday and the weekend is forecast to be even better. :O)

It looks lovely, Barbara, such gorgeous colour. We seem to have dodged most of the rain here - just one really wet day.

25 Sep, 2015

We are having lovely sunshine today. Its gorgeous out there, bit of a breeze blowing but lots of sunshine. We are much the same Melchi, it rained all day Monday but has been sunny since. Managed to get out in the garden for the last two days, not Tuesday and Wednesday as I look after little Lottie for her mum while she is in school busy teaching. Absolutely no chance of gardening with her around now she is crawling and trying to walk. Great fun though. :O)
