Sing a song of Siskin,,,,,,,,,

To the tune of ‘Sing a Song of Sixpence’…….

*Sing a song of Siskin, so beautiful and shy,

One solitary blackbird, looking t’wards the sky,

The feeders all filled up, so the birds began to feed,

Even stunning Goldfinch, determined to eat seed,

The tit was on the mesh tray, amazed at all the food,

The others thought it best to eat, or else it might seem rude,

And food was going missing but who would have the guts?
I think I’ve found the culprit, who’s eating all the nuts!*

“OY……..I’m just as handsome as them Siskin and Finchy fingies!!!”

Lovely blog, OB and is that your rowan tree the solitary blackbird is sitting it? I didn't sing along as I have a sore throat (going for the sympathy vote!) but I thought your rhyme was great :)

Thanks to Grandmage, Clarice & Bloomer. Glad you all enjoyed:0)

My missus: Yes, their is an end to my talents.......making coconut swans and climbing up the sides of tall buildings with wellingtons on!

Spritz & Bloomer: I could hear your lovely voices from here.....

Megan75: Those doves will try anything and land anywhere!!

Arlene: We have about 3 or 4 here but encourage them as they are great fun to watch and no harm really. They can be boisterous but it's all part of the environment we want! Can't say I've seen them climb up rendering, lol!

San: Going to my head? Nah, hardly in there 'cept for watering my seedlings! Thanks for the comments tho:0)

Hi Floribunda: I could be like Burt Lancaster in Birdman of Alcatraz and my cell could be the PS, eh Ali!

Gee: It is, indeed, the Rowan tree looking mighty healthy too I might add! Sorry to hear about your sore throat....look, you sit yourself down and I'll go and pop the kettle on and make you a nice hot drink with honey and .....well, anything that will make it better. Enough sympathy? Hope you're feeling better soon:0)

PG: No pics from the PS as it too far up the garden to get decent shots. These taken on path or from GH and decking:0) Glad you enjoyed.

Brilliant blog Dan and I was singing along too. Great lyrics and pictures as usual. I love the last one too. You have so many birds in your garden....mine don't seem quite so interested now but I have seen a magpie on the feeder a couple of times. He's not welcome since he raided the blackbirds nest :o(((
