Merry Christmas OB, glad you have a job to return to in the new year. Like Shirley I know what it is like in retail. My son had a shop in Brick Lane, but has found it impossible to continue there . He is a graphic designer, and job hunting has been a nightmare. Luckily his computing skills have found him an opening in the fine art printing market and he is gradually building up a new business.
Hope the dreaded lurgy leaves you and your girl soon.

So OddBillie, the dreaded lurky apart it seems as if you are going to have a good 2011, can just imagine the relief that is.
Being a pensioner at least - so far - our income is not large but it is reliable, I don`t think we can be made redundant.lol. Having said that Its horrible to think of all the folks out there that are losing jobs knowing how difficult it is to get re-employed.

Sorry to hear of your troubles~I hope you will all feel much better soon ~ we have had no heating or hot water for six weeks now~ mainly due to my hubby buying bits and trying to fix our CH system himself!!~however he has now admitted defeat and we will be getting a new CH sytem installed after Christmas Woohoo!~I will never take hot water on tap for granted again! needless to say we have all had flu!but as they say things can only get better!
I'm glad that things seem to taking a turn for the better~ here's wishing you a very happy Christmas and a healthy,worry free, prosperous new Year!!!!!

Hi all!

Well, firstly, may I just say a BIG thankyou to all of you for your kind comments, you always know how to cheer others up:o))

We closed the 'old' shop at 7.30pm last night with less than 30 items left in the shop - like vultures they were!!

Now it's time to chill for a few days as the last 4 have been C-R-A-Z-Y!!! Non-stop bedlam and aching feet for all concerned but I'm very proud of the way my team handled themselves with some unsavoury and disrespectful customers who you never see at any other time!

So today, have a little tidy up in the house before meeting up with my team for a lunchtime meal and afternoon of drink in a local pub:o))

So, I bid you all farewell, for now, and wish you all a Happy New Year and I look forward to re-aquainting myself with you all on a more frequent basis come 2011.
