Some successes!

I took a walk around my garden this evening, after taking Jake and lil’ Joe for their run…these are a few things i’m pleased with..

the trellis behind my lady is finally starting to fill in, my cinqui (sp?) experiment with the water bottles seem to work..the bushes came through the winter just fine, and my sunny ramp bed is filling in nicely..i wasn’t sure what to do with the raised beds when i first had them built, but i’m more confident now…

thanks, Seaburngirl..sometimes, as i look at all the lovely established gardens both on Goy, and in this retirement park, i feel terribly inadequate and not up to the job of making a lovely, interesting garden out of this tiny spot, but when i remember what it looked like 3 yrs. ago, just one big ant hill and two overgrown bushes, not to mention the dreadful half-dead pine trees along the side, i realize i've accomplished a lot...onwards and upwards!!!

thanks, Ohmelchised...hostas are one of my favs., and i have a number of them..as for the raised beds, this is the first time i've had any, but since i had them built, i realize i wouldn't be able to garden without them..they make everything so easy...
