My grand daughter will love it. She is two and a half and she can name all creatures great and small.

It's looking really good already. How long does it take you to complete a drawing?

1 Jul, 2014

Wow. Stunning

they take me about 30-40 hours but I don't time myself . it just ends up looking finished . I have to be my own best critic . I squint my eyes, stand on chairs and leave it alone which can be just as important realy . your grand daughter sounds like a young asiring naturalist . id of loved to of been but I hate flying .I like all animals but jags and Siberian tigers are right up there . elephants are my faverite I guess and of course my dogs and fish .I like tapiers and pygmy hippos , hyena rhino . the list goes on . my faverite snake is a gaboon viper . thanx everyone .

Leigh, I am always fascinated to watch as you put in the 'layers' of detail. It is such a precise and beautiful technique. Well-practised and perfected. I love the drawing and we all just know that it will be amazing when finished!

Wonderful Leigh. Had to smile as your list of favourite animals grew and grew.. its so hard to choose when they are all so different. Its such a gift to be able to do what you do, blows my mind.

1 Jul, 2014

it is great to help these animals especialy with something I love doing neellan . my list could grow in the hundreds of thousands probably . you got to respect the creatures that perhaps arnt liked like flies . imagine a world without them . I know it seams nice but there would be a lot of nasty dead corpses laying about . I read a statistic about blue bottles . if you took a breeding pair and gave them and there young perfect conditions and know preditors in a year there would be a ball of them the size of the planet .

How did you get on with your friends at the Big Cat Santuary? Were they happy with the picture?

8 Jul, 2014

they were very happy as was I olive . I sore my first white lions which were amazing . I also sore puna realy close so I could here her chuffing which is a friendly noise a tiger makes . I could of reached out and touched her and I really wanted too . I got some film of these that ill put on a blog on here when I get round to it . I sore my first black panther and ares at a distance . there was also a wild cat about a quarter the size of a domestic cat from asia but it was hidden as were many . I couldn't take pictures as they were either moving too quick , too far away or just hidden so I filmed instead . a great day and they loved my art .
