About me

I'm a novice gardener - in other words I don't know what I'm doing - and I've only had time to look after the garden since I was made redundant. My garden faces the `wrong' way so is damp for about six months of the year. This makes mowing the lawn difficult sometimes and the grass is always long before it is dry enough for it's first cut of the year! I want to keep the lawn as I have children. I'm mainly a flower grower- established shrubs and so on - as I haven't got the space for veg beds but I do grow herbs and lettuce in pots.
