Chirk Castle

Sunday was a lovely sunny day so I set off to see the snowdrops at Chirk Castle

The snowdrops were in drifts here and there

The dainty Leucojum “snowflake” were attracting quite a lot of attention

The Cyclamen under the trees were a bright splash of colour in the sunshine

A few Rhododendrons were just coming into bloom – a little early I thought

I enjoyed a lovely day out at this National Trust Property in North Wales and a treat to have a sunny day after all the snow.

Oh wow neellan those snowdrops are fabulous! and so many! Loved the snowflakes! That castle is quite something too!
The bushes round the castle look like people in big coats!

Looks like a lovely place to visit - do they have a tea shop?!

I guess they are yew around the castle, the shaping looks incredible, not a hair out of place

And I can see why you visit there, it looks a lovely place, the snowdrops are best seen in a mass but when you look closely as you have the individual is perfectly formed
