Today I went on a 2 hour river trip down the Dee in Chester to the Iron Bridge on the Duke of Westminister’s Estate at Aldford, The bridge is a Telford design erected in 1824 by Telford’s assistant William Crossley and his team it spans the river alongside the Boathouse for Eaton Hall the Duke of Westministers home in Cheshire.
Along the way I saw Swans, Ducks, Grebes and Herons and Deer a lovely leisurely trip.

I hope you enjoyed the view of the “other” Ironbridge.

Very interesting, Neellan. One of the places on my 'wish list' of places to visit was Ironbridge and my daughter took me there when I retired. We had a lovely long weekend and had a great time. A place still on my 'wish list' is Chester! Glad you enjoyed your trip :)

The bridge is beautiful - a work of art. You don't see that today. Everything is so plain and stiff looking today. But that bridge is beautiful :o)
