Mine have never died after flowering Mushy .. they keep on powering on! Some people remove the flower believing that it will produce many more leaves than if you leave the flowers to die naturally ... not sure about this though, as I've never bothered removing the flowers.

They are lovely its just starting to look a bit like it need so air from outside and some sunshine just hoping the weather warms up before its to late.. In fact just this second looked at it and the purple under the leaves is going green.... ..:o((.

Mushybanna:

They like semi-shade outdoor...however, indoors Alocasia species need a lot of very bright light. Once your plant is exposed to higher light levels it should regain it's bright purple undersides to the leaves.

My next Alcosia purchase is going to be Alocasia infernalis 'Kapit'. It has black-purple leaves. Check it out on the internet...I think you'll like it. : >)

I hope so ...I'll certainly look out for it..:o)))))
