Long time no gardening

I haven’t been on the website since last June when I returned to work full time. Since then, I reaped the benefits of my labours with a fantastic crop of gardeners delight, a good number of little gem lettuce and some chantennay carrots, all of them delicious! But work, as always, is all consuming and I’ve found myself neglecting my gorgeous garden, not just because of that but because of the blinking weather as well! Like most of the country, we were suffocated with snow for about 6 weeks, and it took ages to disappear. I’ve noticed not too much damage, but feared for a couple of mature bushes in the front garden that were bowed down with the weight; thankfully they’ve survived and only need a bit of pruning to make sure the same doesn’t happen again this winter. One thing I will acquire shortly is a petrol lawn mower; I had enough last year of cutting 3 lawns with an electric mower; far too time consuming winding and moving cables all over the place, not to mention the green hand stains you get for your pains! I’m hoping to get out very soon to do a bit of pruning, my new secateurs need a work out! I do need to finish my university work first though, it’s the only thing keeping me from the garden and it’s been going on too long now. Strange how I find things to distract me when I’m supposed to be writing assignments? Like being on here! Must get on with it now, will visit again soon, hope everyone is well and has survived the winter without too much trauma. Hope you like the pics of my boys with their coats on, they didn’t last long however, labs don’t like extras, they threw them off at the first opportunity! Look forward to viewing photos of spring arriving from you all.

You need fresh air in between assignments to keep your brain recharged, how about that for an excuse, my youngest daughter is studying for a degree so I feel I`m giving you good advice, lol,...
Lovely photo`s of your boys with their coats, which by the way would not have lasted 5 mins here with Morgan and Brynner......
