Yes I had done that Morgana - I'd planted it behind an Ardisia and under the shelter of a Duranta ... but it still loses it's new branches. Will have to see if the main branches can keep withstanding the winds.

Nothing personal, Morgana but Amblealice has done a blog about Hyoscyamus niger which says 'Some suggestions of its use in flying potions for witches' and I thought of you, LOL.

A house further up the village (well, a man in the house) does hanging baskets but they charge an arm and a leg so I'll keep doing my own.

Think this would be a bit big for my hanging baskets, Morgana. Lol.

Yes we can get some really strong winds out here - especially the winds that blow in off the ocean ... they barrel down the valley between the hills out here and rip across the foothills - which is where I live.

One I always mean to grow and always forget.

Do you know I thought it looked like that , I do have one ... it's not in flower at the moment , it has beautiful big flowers . they may last longer another year with luck .. :o)

Cannot imagine disliking graveyards Morgana? I often include one on a walk as they are interesting places. My parents bought their retirement home over looking a churchyard in the middle of a town, they were very happy said it was the quietest place they had ever lived.
